Milestone Birthdays
Some birthdays deserve more than dinner.
Celebrate your milestone birthday inside Ciao Cielo’s heritage-listed Old Courthouse in Port Melbourne, where character-filled spaces, generous Italian dining and warm hospitality come together for a celebration that feels special from the moment your guests arrive.
From an intimate dinner with your closest people to a long lunch, cocktail-style party or celebration with the whole crowd, we’ll help you find the space and dining style to make the occasion yours.
Main Dining Room
30–56 guests seated | Up to 90 standing
Take over the Main Dining Room for a milestone celebration surrounded by the original character of Port Melbourne’s Old Courthouse. Arched windows, timeworn walls and historic details create an impressive backdrop, while the room is yours to fill with your favourite people.
Gather everyone around the table for a generous Italian feast or turn up the energy with a standing celebration for up to 90 guests. Either way, it’s a birthday that feels unmistakably yours.
Judge's Chambers
18 guests one table | 26 guests two tables
For milestone birthdays that call for something a little more intimate, make the Judge’s Chambers your own.
Tucked inside the original Old Courthouse, this private dining room brings together Victorian fireplaces, arched sash windows and one beautifully private setting for your celebration.
With up to 26 of your favourite people around the table, it’s made for good wine, generous Italian food, stories that get better with every telling and birthdays spent with the people who matter most.
THE PIZZERIA
15–30 guests
Prefer your birthday a little more relaxed?
The Pizzeria gives smaller groups a semi-private space with all the energy of Ciao Cielo close by. Bring together 15–30 friends and family for a celebration centred around Italian food, plenty to drink and very little formality.
Perfect for milestone birthdays where the guest list is close, the mood is easy and the focus is firmly on having a good time.
Garden Marquee
20–80 guests seated | Up to 100 standing
For a milestone birthday with a bigger guest list, take the celebration into the garden.
Our Garden Marquee gives you the flexibility to gather up to 80 guests for a seated celebration or 100 for drinks, food and a party that gets everyone on their feet.
Relaxed, social and made for a crowd, it’s a space that lets you bring everyone together without making your birthday feel like a traditional function.
EXCLUSIVE VENUE HIRE
100–130 guests seated | Up to 200 standing
For the biggest occasions, take over the entire venue.
If you’re going big, go all in.
Make Ciao Cielo entirely yours and celebrate your milestone birthday across the Old Courthouse, dining spaces and garden.
With room for up to 130 guests seated or 200 standing, exclusive hire gives you the freedom to create a celebration that moves through the venue as the night unfolds — from drinks on arrival to Italian dining, speeches, another bottle and a dance floor filled with everyone you wanted there.
